WISH 2016
The World Innovation Summit for Health (WISH) held its third edition on November 29–30, 2016 at the Qatar National Convention Centre, convened over 1,500 delegates from more than 100 countries, including nearly 50 ministerial delegations.
Organized by Qatar Foundation, the summit served as a global platform for addressing pressing healthcare challenges through evidence-based research and innovation. Seven interdisciplinary forums were featured, focusing on topics such as Accountable Care, Autism, Behavioral Insights, Cardiovascular Disease, Genomics in the Gulf Region and Islamic Ethics, Healthy Populations, and Precision Medicine. These forums produced actionable policy recommendations aimed at improving global health outcomes.
Additionally, the summit showcased 20 innovative healthcare solutions from young innovators under 30, highlighting the role of technology and entrepreneurship in transforming healthcare delivery. The event underscored the importance of collaboration among policymakers, researchers, and practitioners in shaping the future of global health.
