In association with Government of Karnataka, Dr. Shetty pioneered Yashaswini, a very inexpensive micro health insurance scheme benefitting more than 3.4 milliion rural poor. Dr. Shetty has also served as member Board of Governors of Medical Council of India and is invited by the Governments of Karnataka and India for discussions on healthcare policies and planning.
